Form to ringing phone in 3.2 seconds, measured on real calls

Speed to lead with an AI callback in seconds

When a lead fills in your form, a voice agent rings them straight back, says it's an AI assistant, asks your two or three questions and puts them through to your team. If nobody is free, it takes the details.

Call 1800 570 693 to talk to the demo agent. Plans start at A$299 a month, GST included.

The five-second callback

Send the sample enquiry. The phone rings five seconds later, and answering it starts a real voice call with Sam, our AI assistant.

The five seconds are a countdown on this page, and the call runs in your browser. Allow the microphone when asked. The call is recorded and transcribed, and the form takes no details.

Send the enquiry and this phone rings in five seconds.

Lead response time

Four studies of web leads, and how the odds fall in the first hour.

When the first call happens

Time from the enquiry to the first call, on a log scale.

Every point as a table
3.2 secondsMedian time from the form post to the lead's phone ringing, across 3 test calls through the lead callback on 29 September 2026.
1 minuteCalling within a minute went with a 391% improvement in conversion rate, across about 3.5 million leads at 400 companies. The study does not say what the improvement is measured against.
5 minutesThe odds of reaching a lead called within 5 minutes were 100 times those at 30 minutes (Lead Response Management study, 2007).
1 hourFirms that tried within an hour were nearly 7 times as likely to qualify the lead as firms that tried an hour later (HBR, 2011).
42 hoursThe average reply among 2,241 US companies that replied within 30 days. 23% never replied (HBR, 2011).

Three ways a lead reaches the agent

  1. Web form leads

Your form or CRM posts the lead to the agent's callback address. The agent rings within seconds, with the lead's answers in front of it.

    • Any web form
    • CRM and Zapier webhooks
    • Form answers in the call
  2. Missed calls

Keep your number. Your phone rings first, and when nobody picks up, the agent answers, takes the enquiry and puts the caller through.

    • Keep your number
    • Your team rings first
    • The agent answers the rest
  3. Nobody free to take it

The person you put the lead through to hears who is calling and why, then presses 1 to take it. If nobody does, the agent takes the details for your team.

    • A whisper first
    • Press 1 to take it
    • Details if nobody does

Two ways to open the call

The lead asked for the call, so the agent says who it is, that it's an AI and why it's ringing, then puts them through to a person.

Says it's an AI

Hi Priya, it's Sam, the AI assistant at Harbour Roofing. You just asked for a quote, so I'm calling straight back. Two quick questions, then I'll put you through to Dan. Is now OK?

  • Names the business and says it's an AI assistant
  • Says why it's calling, the enquiry they just sent
  • Says what happens next and how long it takes
  • Asks if now is a good time
Pretends to be a person

Hi, this is John calling about your quote request. How can I help you today?

  • Hides that it's an AI, which most people recognise anyway
  • Makes the lead repeat the enquiry they just typed
  • Gives the lead no reason to stay on the line

Businesses that run on enquiries

Anywhere a lead fills in a form and waits for a call.

  • Trades and home services

Roofers, plumbers, electricians and solar installers, whose quote forms fill up while the team is on the tools.

  • Real estate

Buyer and rental enquiries called back while the listing is still open on the lead's screen.

  • Clinics

New patient enquiries called back and put through to reception, or booked into a connected calendar.

  • Brokers and finance

Mortgage, insurance and finance enquiries qualified with your questions, then passed to a broker.

  • Software sales

Demo requests called back while the prospect is still on your site, then put through to a salesperson.

  • Education and training

Course enquiries answered with the intake questions your admissions team would ask.

Setting it up

  1. Connect your form

Point your form, CRM or Zapier at the agent's callback address. It takes the name, number and any other answers.

  2. Write the call

Pick the two or three questions and who the agent puts the lead through to. We set it up with you.

  3. Test it

Simulated calls test the agent before it goes live, and again after every change.

  4. Go live

New leads get a call within seconds, inside the calling hours you set, and you see every call and summary.

Calls inside the rules

A prompt callback on a lead's own enquiry is not a telemarketing call, and we still set it up as if it were.

Questions

Speed to lead is the time between a lead's enquiry and your first real contact with them. The shorter it is, the more leads you reach: in a Harvard Business Review study of 1.25 million leads, firms that tried within an hour were nearly 7 times as likely to qualify the lead as firms that tried an hour later.

It comes from the 2007 Lead Response Management study, which found the odds of reaching a web lead were 100 times higher when it was called within 5 minutes than at 30 minutes, and the odds of qualifying it 21 times higher. The study covered 15,000 leads at six US companies.

In 3 test calls through the lead callback on 29 September 2026, the lead's phone rang a median 3.2 seconds after the form was posted. The agent rings once per lead, inside your calling hours.

Yes. No Australian law sets an AI disclosure rule for phone calls, but the OAIC says businesses should make sure people know they are dealing with an AI, and letting someone believe they are talking to a person can be misleading conduct under section 18 of the Australian Consumer Law. Every callback agent we set up says it's an AI assistant in its first sentence. In the OAIC's 2026 survey, 79% of Australians said being told when AI is used is essential when organisations use it to make decisions that affect them.

The evidence is mixed. In a 2026 field experiment with 1,337 customers reached, an AI voice agent that said it was an AI converted 13.3% against 11.5% when it did not, a gap within chance (Habel, Zawadzki and Freise, working paper). Studies of older voice bots found disclosure cut responses. In the same 2026 study, customers converted at 47.1% with a person, which is why the agent's job is to put the lead through to your team.

A call that answers the lead's own enquiry, made soon after it, is not a telemarketing call under the Do Not Call Register Regulations 2017 (section 6(7)), so the telemarketing calling hours do not bind it. The agent still calls between 9am and 8pm on weekdays and 9am and 5pm on Saturdays by default, and rings a later lead at the next opening. You can widen the hours for your business. 28% of the calls to the receptionists we run arrive outside weekday business hours.

Yes, when the person asked you to call. A prompt call about their own enquiry is not a telemarketing call, and submitting your form is consent under the Do Not Call Register Act 2006. The agent checks your own do-not-call list before every call, and a lead who asks not to be called again goes on it.

Yes, when the person is told at the start. New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT require everyone's consent to record a private conversation, so every callback agent we set up says the call is recorded before anything else.

Anything that can send a webhook: website form builders, CRMs, Zapier and Make. The form posts the lead's number, name and answers to the agent's callback address, and the agent reads them before it rings.

The agent rings once. It does not leave a voicemail or keep ringing, and the lead can ring back the number it called from.

You keep your number and set your phone to forward when it goes unanswered. Your team's phone rings first, and when nobody picks up, the agent answers, takes the enquiry and can put the caller through.

Plans start at A$299 a month with minutes included, and extra minutes are A$0.40. A callback call uses minutes the same way an answered call does.
